By the masked London rock collective SLEEP TOKEN we actually like to be deprived of sleep. With a spherical sound carpet, which is broken by hard breaks, the melancholic clear vocals and the rather genre-unusual use of piano and organ, the band knows how to affect and carry you away at the same time. On the record “This Play Will Become Your Tomb”, released in 2021, shallow passages are also suddenly replaced by edgy riffs and epochal parts. At the same time, the band always has the emotions of its listeners firmly in its grip, demanding nothing less than complete devotion from them.
