When PAPA ROACH first saw the light of day in 1993, they swung onto an imaginary board and rode the nu-metal megawave of the time with the predatory destructiveness of a wild school of swordfish. With their unmistakable sound, the four US-Americans around frontman Jacoby Shaddix anchored themselves firmly in the ears of their fans. To fully become a fixed DJ inventory on pretty much every nu-metal playlist, they reached for the musical ambidextrous “Last Resort”. In 2022 they provided us with new ear balm with “Ego Trip”. And it puts fans of the earlier years in just as much ecstasy as friends of the rather poppy sound of the recent records. So there’s something for everyone when the cockroach dads hit the stage at FULL FORCE 2023.
